This piece, nearly two years in the making, started off as a pitch for Uncle Bob’s Self Storage from Quinlan. Our approach was to shine a different light on self-storage. A light that showcases why people hold onto things that others think are simply junk. We realized that people keep these things for reasons only they understand, and sometimes they come with no explanation at all. Hence, “the things we keep because” was born.
Once Uncle Bob’s rebranded as Life Storage, this story and their new brand lined up perfectly. The piece, and the entire trilogy, was written by myself and edited in-house by the team at Quinlan. The amazing production team led by Chris Santucci and the stellar direction by Eric Frick brought everything together. This is my commercial work I am most proud of and I think the passion we all had for this project shows in the end result.
